Treats

It's hard to believe we're just days away from Christmas.  I've been looking forward to Christmas for weeks now.  We've been talking about Santa and his reindeer.  Baking all different kinds of Christmas cookies.  And making messes with play dough, wooden beads, markers, and watercolors.  As a special treat, I traveled down to Brooklyn to visit one of my best friends for the weekend.  By myself!  We stayed with her friends Donald and Paulie and their puppies Pinecone (pictured) and Voltron!  It was a hoot!  I feel like I got an introduction to Brooklyn, complete with a stop at Belloque Tea and brunch at a French restaurant that boasted fantastic saffron ratatouille.  We made it to Soho so I could shop for paper.  And then to the Paulie's work party--the 24th floor had fantastic views!

Although I didn't stay out very late that night in Brooklyn, I ended up sleeping in till noon.  Something I don't recall doing since college!  Like my body was wanting to splurge.  I had no one to take care of but myself.  The term "luxury" is regularly being redefined.

I'm missing my sisters.  Missing my friends far, far away.  Even close to the ocean and the delights of this island, I long for the familiarity my friends and family bring.  Sending you love!  All of you!

Merry Christmas ~

I adore your images. Every frame tells a little story.
