Cheers!

We just got back from the beach--holes were dug, tracks made, shells found.  And waves avoided.  I don't get it entirely, but both kiddos stay clear of the ocean.  No matter the wave height or strength.  They don't care for Mama or Papa getting near the water either.  Afraid that it'll gobble us up?  I'm not sure.  No matter, we still have fun.  Still got to soak up the sunshine and smell the briny sea air.

Madeleine and I checked out the outdoor shower this morning.  Kinda exhilarating!  It was so nice to wash off all the sand and suds up under the open sky.  Summer, you are so good to us!

I'm continuing my watercolor doodles.  Some I like.  A lot I don't.  I like to think, that every one I attempt, is practice--one step towards something not scrap.

By the way, one of the things that I hope our little family will continue to do, no matter where we call home, is raising our glasses, giving a little toast, saying cheers--it seems to be a very Philly thing.  You can see M and Wm practicing their CHEERS with their sippy cups.

That cheers photo might be the cutest thing I've ever seen! Love it!
