Fake It Till You Make It

After my last post, a dear friend of mine dropped off a bag of goodies containing a sweet note, beautiful paper, and the most amazing banana bread.  This bread was chalk full of nuts, coconut, flax seed, and nanners.  Holy smokes it was good!  And, her note made me laugh out loud.  I hooted and then giggled.  Seriously, laughter is the best medicine.  Laughter and the reminder that there's color and brightness all around.  Even when the weather disagrees with me.

I always turned up my nose at the expression "fake it till you make it." My purist sensibilities could never fully appreciate the idea.  But, sometimes--some days, some weeks--you have to put out a lot of energy to change the direction of a bad mood.  A lot of energy.  So, right now, I'm surrounded by water color invitations and garlands from my studio, bunnies of all colors from the babes studio, daffodils, French macarons (thank you E--they were divine), and boxed wine.

I think of that expression every single day! Seriously. Beautiful photos, Julia. Love the watercolor of the flowers.
