Changes

Hello all! Such adventures, such incredible journeys and such overwhelming newness. Andrew accepted a job in Philadelphia a little over a month ago. William was born shortly after. We spent a week packing up our little apartment while tending to the needs of a newborn (I'm so glad I could find his diapers). Then Andrew made his way to Philly to start his new job while I trekked to Minnesota to spend a little over a week with my parents and family. William and I then flew to Philadelphia, solo. Now, a week later I feel like we're finally getting some sense of a routine again. We're still up to our arm pits in boxes, but we're making it, slowly but surely. We couldn't have done it without the incredible support and help of so many dear, dear friends and family. We made it because of YOU, thank you so much!

With all of these changes I find myself stretched to the limits. I keep trusting that I'm not given more than I can handle. I find joy in the half hour cat naps I get during the day, the coffee Andrew makes in the morning, and William's ridiculously cute half-grin. I'm taking it one day at a time. I have half a mind to start a separate blog to chronicle the thrills and chills of new-mommyhood, just for those out there who are going through the same thing--I'll keep you posted. It's a strangely exhilarating and terrifying time for me and I seem to do better if I reach out instead of pull inwards. I'll still post here on Red Otter--I need a spot to post all the beautiful things I find out there.

I'm already looking forward to catching up on your blogs--I've been out of the loop for so long. In the mean time, I'm sending out buckets of love!

This is such a busy time in your life. I remember when mine were still tiny babys. Its so hard to find time to do all the things you want/need to do in a day. Take your time and spend as much as you can with William, it flies by so fast...

I can't believe you moved with a new born! It was almost a month before I even left the house for anything other than a doctor's appointment. The first few months feel so topsy turvy as it is. Wow. That is impressive. Congrats on all the great changes.
