Interview and curiosity
First off, I was notified this morning that my interview and give-away is over at the Sofia Barao's! Do go and see!
Two summers ago I stumbled into the world of blogging. Well, it was sort of a slow "easing into," but I found a small handful of blogs that I thought were not only beautiful but sincere and I've gone back to them time and time again. For not only inspiration creatively and for genuine living. "Genuine living" sounds a bit pretentious, but I hope you know what I'm talking about. I'm drawn to their photographs (which they usually take themselves), their simple but creative living, and their attachment to their families, no matter the size. I'm just curious, which blogs have continued to inspire you, time and time again?
Here are mine:
Soule Mama
Posie Gets Cozy

I kind of jumped in, going from not really blogging at all and not even even commenting on any, to loving it all quite quickly. I have a long list (including yours :-) I haven't been to your 3, so I'm looking forward to visiting them.
Love that dress! and thanks for sharing those blogs... they are awesome!
Lovely photo my dear.
I'm going to check out the interview :)
I'm constantly finding inspiration on blogs (including yours, of course!) but I haven't visited these three yet. Thanks for the tip!
Ooh, I'm off to check out the interview!
The dress is absolutely stunning! Thanks for the share of the blogs...always looking for great inspiration!
I love her pick for beautiful. That photo really sums up that word. We will have to check out those other blogs too. Thank you for the links. xo
I have only been blogging for a year but my list of favourites is long - yours is one of them. Love the quiet posts. I will just mention two that I am always drawn to - Cafe Cartolina and Ornamental.
Genuine living indeed. I believe it is the true essence of living. Being true to yourself, your dreams, your inner voice...
You were my first blog I stumbled upon a little over a year ago and are still one of my favs.
Off to check out your interview. You are one of my 1st and dearest blogging buddies. Even if I have to take a break from visiting my faves, yours is one I always come back to. Have a great day.
off to check that interview! thanks for those lovely blogs! xo
i will defintely visit these blogs b/c i totally trust your recommendation.
Ohhh... sooo many blogs to enjoy and sooo little time! I sure love coming over here! Isn't it wonderful? Have a devine weekend sweetie.
Those were three of the blogs that got me started too! I think you're right. They're so genuine.
off to read the interview. I heart your blog :) and Bliss, Camp Comfort, and many many many others!
I have several...and I must say that yours is one of them! Always inspiring.
posie gets cozy is the first blog i ever read and definitely a reason i started to sew, which lead to flickr and then blogging. i also really enjoy lovely design and yours of course, dear jewels. love the image, so cinderella.
What a cool interview!! About which blogs inspire me... at the moment, it's those that feature really great photograping - like yours! Even though I write a blog about interior decoration, the photos I find the most inspiring are "about" other things.
Ooohh, I cannot WAIT to check these out. I love what you wrote in this post--so true. The main reason the blogworld is fascinating to me. I love seeing what inspires others and being inspired! :-)
i eased in slowly.
silently stalking blogs, reading and then finally one day I started commenting then jumped in with both feet and started blogging.
I still read the first few that I silently stalked because they inspire me and are real:
little house on green (now A little twig bird house)
The Red Otter (yours was the first)
Whatever
LaLa Lovely
French Essence
Here, There, Elsewhere and more
I read them daily!
xx callie
Gorgeous picture to along with a beautiful note! Heading over to read your interview now! :) XOXO
I never heard of a blog until my friend told me to start one during my recovery (health issues)a year and half ago. I slowly started to leave comments. There are so... many that I enjoy reading and visiting every day that there would not be enough room for them all. One for sure is The Red Otter Shop!
Have a golden weekend! xoxo
I just wanted to tell you that I loved your interview post, which is how I found you. ALL of your images were lovely and I definitely agree with your song pick and I ADORE Madeline L'Engle :)
Thanks for the new blog links! I have so many blogs that inspire me it would take way to long to list them all here. Yours is definitely one of my favorites! I always feel so welcomed when I visit. :)
I can't wait to read your interview... My first blog reads were la la lovely, simple lovely, and bliss. I still read them today.
Gosh, there are too many to name for me. If anything, the inspiration sometimes gets overwhelming.
Cute dress! I love marmeecrafts blog! Hers inspired me to get started!
Love Soulemama too.
Oh fabulous!! I am so happy to be able to enter your giveaway!!!
Well Julia...YOUR blog is one that has continued to inspire me!! It's one of my absolute favorites...so thanks so much for sharing all of your ideas, thoughts and gorgeous photos with us. So incredibly inspiring and I always look forward to reading your posts. :)
{Beautiful interview by the way...it's perfectly you.}
That dress and photograph is amazing! I love different blogs for different reasons. Off to check out your interview.
That was a lovely interview! I can't wait to check out your blog recommnedations. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
that dress is amazing! can't wait to check out your fave blogs :) yours is always so nice to visit!!
yours, my dear! i've gotta say that you were one of my biggest touchpoints for getting started with etsy and then with a blog. whether or not i comment daily, you're a daily read of mine and continually inspire me.
others include kal barteski's love life, elise blaha's enjoy it, and marta's m.writes. :)
Ooh I love Posie. But I haven't been to the other two. Perhaps I shall check them out!
hmmmmm...good question :) I have too many, but I know exactly what you mean. While my blogging has decreased to once a week, I amazed at how much I depend on the blog world for inspirations, q&a's, and the confidence to create.
these are some really nice blogs--i checked out the links.
i am constantly inspired by these two--especially when it comes to photography.
