Spring Cleaning

Sometime this weekend I have plans on starting a major apartment purge. It's inevitable, the "spring cleaning" bug starts pestering me the end of every March. I think there's also something to be said about living in a very minimalistic environment (our condo down in Florida) and coming home to all your "stuff." I have a lot of stuff. So, the plan: start in one section of the apartment and sort through the things that are really important, the not so important and the things I just need to toss. I'm clapping my hands with excitement, such a dork, I love this type of activity!

first...i love that you called it an activity. you are so awesome. Second, I love it too, infact as there such thing as over cleaning or over organizing? I have to do my taxes...no that I DO NOT like organizing. everything else...bring it on!

That's exactly what I want to do this weekend! It's going to be rainy here so I think I'm going to try and "organize" a bit and maybe bake some bread :)

I love purple! In my condo (pre marriage) I painted my bathroom walls and ceiling in a deep eggplant purple. It was my favorite room. Yay for organizing and cleaning, I love it too!

Love those photos, Julia! I must admit I don't like too much to 'start' organizing. I delay the moment, but once I finish, oh! feels so good!

I love spring cleaning too! My major risk is getting caught up in the fever and throwing things out willy nilly. My SO lives in fear of these cleaning attacks.

I cleasing of sorts is a freeing task. It takes some effort, but the results can be so rewarding. Living with less 'clutter' helps us to focus on things that are really meaningful. It's over-done, but so very true. Less is more. Good luck- you will do great. Let us know how it all goes.

Have fun and good luck! We've been working on simplifying the stuff too... It's been an ongoing "activity" over here for a little while now. Going to try to channel some of your enthusiasm!

I have got to do this before we have guests at our house. I am quite dreading it but it does feel really great once its done.

Beautiful purple photos!

i LOVE organizing and putting everything in it's proper place...but is it weird that I don't do it often enough? I think my laziness just wins over the need to organize every time :-)

Love those purple photos. Spring cleaning is necessary, and I love how you call it an "activity." Spring cleaning has always had such a mundane chore like feeling for me.

yee haw!!! i rotated out winter clothes from the main closet and rotated in spring and summer clothes. the bad part is that both closets are JAMMED and i still want to buy more!

Love the pretty purple. I am due for more spring cleaning. It never seems to get finished around here, but thanks for the inspiration!

These colors are just so gorgeous--my absolute faves.

& I'm sure I'll be doing a purge myself soon since I expect we'll be moving in the next 6 months or so.
