Lunch walk
I'm getting ready to bundle up for my lunch time walk. I'm braving the wintry sidewalks that presently look more like a long snaky ice rink than anything else. I'm trying to boost my time in the sun, and, although I've never made it a priority before, I'm trying to get out of the office once in a while. I was the goon sitting over her keyboard, sandwich in hand, trying to manage the shift+apple+0 keys thingy. Lovely. Yeah, lunch out every once in a while is a good thing!
We had a wonderful weekend! One of my friends from Duluth came down and we did the town. State Street, the capitol building, The Great Dane pub for lunch and lots of coffee shops. It's so much fun seeing your home from a different point of view--you see how special somethings are!

It's good to get up and get the blood flowing after sitting for so long a time and going out to lunch is one great way to do it! Glad you had a good weekend!
A lunchtime walk sounds wonderful!
I'd like to take a lunchtime walk to this gorgeous building!
hello! your weekend sounds great, as do your lunchtime walks. And I love that cupboard in the top right photo, I need one just like that!
: )
You are me. Right this minute I am debating whether or not to get off my butt and go for a walk or continue the day's gluttony.
So far:
Gluttony: 1
Walk: 0
You had me cracking up with trying to juggle keyboard shortcuts and eating a sandwich! Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed your walk.
Oh that sounds fun! One of my fav interiors - or a mix of them. I love, love, love this style so much!
What is shift + apple +0? I'm curious! Lovely photos, hope you had a nice walk :)
Yes! A lunchtime walk is just the thing. Fresh air, clear one's head, get some exercise, some quality "me" time. It's a win win win situation! :)
Getting out for a walk makes such a huge difference in your day, even if it is sometimes hard to motivate yourself! I hope yours was lovely.
Have fun on your walk!!! Sounds pleasant:)
glad you had a great weekend. a quick note to wish you a glorious week too! :)))

a lunchtime walk is always a good thing. same as this house, wow!
i agree - i love it when you get to see things through someone else's eyes!
great pics once again, jewels - i love the cabinet in the top right, and that silver floor lamp in the middle right... i'd like one of each!
I know how it goes trying to eat and type at the same time. Try adding a cat that can't get comfortable in front of you to the mix. :)
I have that typing problem when I'm working on a coffee or tea. I always have a mug in my hand and try to comment on blogs or write mine or whatever. It's so slow! I have both hands working right now :)
That cabinet is amazing. And it's being used for the exact same thing I would use it for: yarn. Mmmmmmm.
I'm glad you're going out and walking! I need to do that more often. I did in the summer, I'm just a baby in the winter with the cold.
Love all the warm woods in the images you chose for today.
Glad to hear you are getting out in the sun even though it is cold out with ice on the ground!.
I need to get my daily sun too! Need to get my vitamin D!
I love those touristy-stay at home weekends! And a lunchtime walk sounds faboo! -xoh
i used to be that girl sitting at her desk, staring at the computer screen while shoveling down her lunch...i still have to remind myself that it's okay to step away for a bit! great round up of photos!
A resolution just to take the smallest of walks can change your life! I did the same a few years back, to just get out of my office and walk to the corner Coffee Bean...and it led to many vanilla lates...but still, you inspire me! Have missed you these past days I've been down with the flu!
I'm hoping to get my bum off the computer chair more as well! This is one of my favorite house tours from CL. I've had the pleasure of *meeting* Monique {the homeowner} in e-mail land and she is so sweet!
Oh how I've missed you...so happy to be slowly getting back into the swing of things. Happy New Year dear Julia! xo ~Suzanne
Lovely photos, and 'photoed', Jewels. =)
i love the top two interiors. i just love old hardwood. so much personality.
I just discovered your blog--as a former Madisonion it warmed my heart to hear of the Great Dane, the Capitol, et al. I especially miss Ancora. Thank you!
Loved this house when I first saw it. Simple and gorgeous!
