When I say
brilliant colored patterned material do you think
Amy Butler too? To me,
Amy Butler's knack for combining vintage designs with bright luscious colors is genius. Granted I can't sew. Have had nothing but disastrous experiences with the sewing machine and seam ripper. But, that doesn't keep me from buying material, cutting out patterns, and dreaming of a bed full of Amy Butler pillows, and a closet full of Amy Butler bags, aprons, and yoga pants!
These images are of Amy's studio and products! Divine, aren't they?

Absolutely gorgeous Amy Butler! I can't sew either but I do love all these colored patterns.
oh yes, she is a favorite of mine. i love how she brings florals into mid-century modern-style. i look at her home book all the time. it is so sweet how you buy fabric and cut it up to make patterns. you should try a simple patchwork, don't give up! i wrestle with my little sewing machine all the time ;).
very savvy! cool!
Learning to sew. It's definitely on my to-do list for 'one of these days.' No time like the present, though, right? ☺
Yes, these images are divine! You always pull such loveliness together, Jewels.
Great photos. I love Amy butler fabrics. :)
oh my! The colors, the lighting, the patterns :) swoon
I totally needed to know more about this Amy person that shares my name :) As always, my Otter delivers!!
Sewing to me is like brain surgery. Its possible to learn I am sure, but seems almost impossible when you are attempting to do it. Its fun to dream and scheme and collect fabrics for future projects though! I really love those pillows!
absolutely!
and i wish i could sew :)
I love that first photo--even though it's not even of fabric! Haha. Her stuff is so great---modern and girly and fun all at the same time.
One of my faves, I found a book - "Found Style" over the summer for $1 and LOVE it! I keep opening it and finding new ideas. I have to get back to sewing again
and make one of those great bags.

I'd never heard of Amy Butler before. Thank you for introducing me! Her studio and work look amazing.
I have just bought the Amy Butler book called Midwest Modern and I absolutely love it - can't put it down. I have never heard of her before but I am really pleased I have now. She is so incredibly creative and her patterns are to die for.
