Sunrise

Walking to my car this morning I was struck by the intensity of the sunrise. Peaking with bright pinks and oranges, the clouds rippled with neon colors. I just stopped in the middle of the parking lot and watched it spread across the sky. Most days I forget to look. There are weeks I don't even notice. Incredible. Well, this morning I did look, I did notice, and I'm sure I'll be carrying those colors with me the rest of the day, rippling through my afternoon.

By the way, Rachel over at dwellings and decor posted on decorating with the color yellow/gold yesterday, fabulous post. She had so many yummy images, I had to go exploring. I found the photographer Michael Grimm particularly enjoyable and wanted to share with you!

I love when I stop and take it all in too. Nature has a great way of putting it all in perspective.
Beautiful pics indeed. I had those green Kermit mums as my bridesmaids bouquets, so those always bring a smile.

Your applesauce tradtion is such a great one, especially with the new family members on their way. Nice holiday gifts too. I can only imagine the lovely jar labels you would design.

...glad my leaf post made you giggle.

I would bath in this color if humanly possible! I love those plant buds too :)

I'm not noticing a lot of things lately, instead just trying to get from Point A in the day to Point B as quickly as possible. I need to slow down and absorb some of the periphery before it all becomes lost!

That right side photo in the second row - is that chair illuminated? It and the chandelier are gorgeous.

Happy Wednesday, Jewels! XO

That's funny...I was struck by the same beautiful sunrise this morning as well. Mine had bright bursts of rich shades of lavendar. It was so lovely that I wanted to turn my car around and drive towards it, but alas my hunger won out.

Beautiful photos, btw...thanks for sharing!

I love the light in that last pairing of photos! I wish everything was that color, all the time. Or at least that my bedroom was that color all the time. Lovely.

What amazing, wonderful images. I don't think I often consider these colors for decor & this definitely makes me reconsider.

I love these photos Julia! They're all so gorgeous. I think my favorite is the first one of the bed, but the one on the near left (at the bottom) of the flowers is my second favorite. I'm off to check out her link...I need some yellow/gold inspiration :)

Is that last bed sleepable? Looks so tidy, a good night's sleep might ruin all the order and neatness. hehe

I wish I had a golden yellow bedroom that lit up like that :) Love the new profile pic, too!

I want to know all about that little goodness of a flower arrangement. Perfect fall inspired colors and that glass vase is divine.
