Maui - Part Two

The Lavender Farm!  Like Tuscany--but tropical.  The farm is located up the mountain, on a little plot of heaven.  When Meg and I arrived to prep before the ceremony it was raining.  Pouring really.  But, the bride kept her cool and shrugged her shoulders.  About ten minutes before we heard the conk shell sounding (thank you, Dylan), the rain cleared up and shrouded us in mist.  It was amazingly romantic.  Vows and rings were quietly exchanged, a tear was shed, and an impromptu dance between the bride and groom started.  It was so special.  We were all grinning ear to ear.  After that, the newly married couple and I rambled through the farm.  Succulents, roses, hibiscus, strange tropical wonders, and large clusters of lavender.  The mist burnt off and the sun came out in time for our little picnic at the Lavender Farm's cottage.  Meg had grabbed some grapes and strawberries at the market, along with some cheeses from Whole Foods, and Betsy brought pineapple champagne!  I'm not sure how many times I can coo about it being magical.
