December

I was going to post these pictures out over the week.  But, then I loaded them all up and thought differently--I liked all the colors melding together.  I'm holding off on the photoshop filters and tweaking, so these images are raw--straight from my camera to you.  We'll see if I continue to like it.

Winter has arrived.  The leaves have all fallen.  There are hardy veggies still at the farmers market off Mermaid Lane, though.  It's amazing how vibrant they can be!  I'm getting the kiddos outside every day, even in the cold.  Snowpants, mittens, and blankies--they are bundled.  To the extreme.  But, I still get looks.  I don't think people understand--where I come from, this weather is balmy.

We got our Christmas tree last weekend.  It smells amazing, our little Frazer Fir.  It's presently standing upright thanks to two nails and some dental floss.  I lost the argument with the tree stand.  *sighs*  It works, though.  And, besides the random ornament suddenly ending up in the books or under a blanket, there have been no casualties.

Wow! I can't believe you're still seeing that wonderful produce in your markets out east (my garden is frosty and frozen here in Minnesota.) Perhaps some green houses have come into play. Love the shots of the tree - it looks like it smells wonderful. Your little ones look like they are enjoying it. Happy Holidays!
