Still Life No. 2

Still Life No. 2

Putting this still life together was fun.  And quick.  Although we're not particularly busy on the weekends these days, life with a baby on the move and a demanding two year old, rarely allows for  sweet contemplation and orchestration.  Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh is an old friend.  I read it every year.  The cover is worn and weathered from trips to the cottage and endless cups of tea.  The dark pink envelope is one of the components to a new project in the Red Otter shop.  I'm starting a new Apple Dumping hat for my niece's birthday--they're getting snow in Minnesota, poor dears.  Freesia.  Blissful freesia.  And a new silver leafed album I'm just about to sew together.

Much love on this Monday morning!

Freesia . . . I can imagine the smell of it. I can remember you reading that book years ago. It's snowing here in Minneapolis, but not a lot. Hope this is all we get.
