Over the weekend, I retired my holiday pine cone garland and created a new heart-themed door decoration. I pulled out Grandma's button tin, some of my new favorite paper and a long piece of black and white gross grain ribbon. I cut a heart shape from card stock and hot glued an assortment of pink and pearl buttons on it. Using double-sided mounting tape, I adhered the finished heart on a covered piece of illustration board. I threaded the ribbon through the top and hung it up! Granted, Valentines Day is a month away. Is there credit for being ahead of the game?

What a lovely, creative idea! I love it. And yes, you do get credit for being early. :)
