Identity Crisis

Orange cranberry muffins--in an effort to add variety to Andrew's breakfast fare I'm trying out different muffin/scone recipes. These were tasty!

So, I'm in an interesting place right now creatively. In relation to my blog. I feel like I want to do something more with it--make it a vehicle for... something. What that something is, I'm not sure, but something more than it is right now. I know that one of my New Years resolutions was to use only my own photography--except for Friday Favorites of course--but another resolution was to give it a little more content. This is where you guys come in. I realize that one of the reasons I have a blog is so I can share the lovely bits of life. But, it's also a place for me to reach out and say hello to YOU! I've met so many wonderful friends through this blog and I want to nourish those relationships and potential relationships. How do I share? What do you like to see? What would you want more of? I think we all go through a "blog identity" crisis every once in a while. We want to give, but not sure what. We want to engage, but not sure how. We want to show our world, but not sure why. Yeah, a little heavy for a Monday morning, but I would really, really love to hear your thoughts. Any thoughts!

Okay, I'm going to go make a pot of tea and have a muffin. Sending you heaps of love!

XOXO,
Jewels

To be totally honest, my favorite thing about your blog is You. Your everyday. What you've seen, what you're doing, how your life is progressing. It's the simplest things that you write about that captivate me :)

It doesn't really answer your question, but I am drooling over your muffin photo, and absolutely adore the plate combination.

I agree with the other commenters, I just love seeing and hearing the daily bits that make up your life.

But whatever you do, I know it will be creative and wonderful!

That muffin looks great! It doesn't take much to distract me but I had the same thoughts at the start of the year as you are having - that I need to give meaning to my blog and at the same time do something meaningful besides tell the world what I had for dinner. I am still working on it, it's a never-ending soul search but in the meantime I am learning to use my camera, writing, and most importantly, making new friends.

Oh these look scrumptious!! I wish we could have tea together and chat about delightful things! I really love your blog - the mix of creative and personal! I think you have a great thing going! Sometimes I worry my blog content isn't very interesting but I started this blog to practice writing and creating content mostly for myself, and that is something I think is what makes it unique and special. The same goes for your blog!! Just follow your heart and your friends will follow you!! Can't wait to read what happens next in your creative life!! xoxo
