On
William's Walk last night I spotted this pale pink rose--still alive--untouched by our December frosts. So lovely and elegant. And surprisingly hearty.
Sorry I've been a little absent this week. Much going on! I am trying to stay on top of Red Otter orders, get our wee apartment Christmasy, and prep for my big trip tomorrow. I'm heading to New York City for the first time. Ever. Not only to see and partake in the delights of the season--New York style-- but to meet a long time blog friend, Cindy from
Quaint Handmade. I can't tell you how excited I am. Positively giddy! I promise to take heaps of photos!

I too saw a flower that managed to grow between the cracks of cement still standing brave and strong.
I am so excited you are going to NY and more excited you will be meeting Cindy! I have yet to meet her but hope some day. Give her a hug from me. Have fun! xo

I can't believe there is still a rose blooming! I hope that means it has not been as bitter cold there as here! Enjoy your trip to NYC!
i love the pale pink shade of the rose, my favorite. can't wait to see you tomorrow. i'm going to try and go to sleep early, like now. there are two more holiday markets - one at columbus circle and one at bryant park and i saw some pretty chocolates at bergdorf's. i better remember to bring extra $$ myself. safe travels, sweetheart! xo, c
