Believe

I see this written on my mobile's screen every time I turn it on. I don't remember the original reason I put it there, but I find it comforting when my phone jingles on. More than a religious concept or a fairy tale's admonition, the word "believe" reminds me to shift my perspective. So often, oh so often, that's all I need. Something to nudge me towards a different point of view. I know I've written about this before, but I can't help but feel the need for this reminder a lot lately. Believe in possibility. Believe that there's a plan. Believe that today is going to be a good day, a delicious day. Believe that by putting one foot in front of the other we will get there.

Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes--my special day was filled with simple pleasures!

I love this. My mother is always telling me to believe. Sometimes it feels really hard to believe but that is when you have to muster all of your energy to continue in your belief. I needed to hear this today, so thank you, my friend! xo

it's true, but not always easy to believe deep inside. life throws these challenges in our path, but you are strong and will cross them. i understand the struggle. xo, c
