Spring break

One of my favorite things to do in Duluth is to walk along Lake Superior and collect smooth slate colored stones. I like the way they feel when you rub them together, like ancient money pieces. And I like the soft weight at the bottom of my pocket when I've collected my fill--very satisfying. The fact that is was chilly, ridiculously so, and I needed my mittens and boots didn't dissuade me from taking my trek when we were up in Duluth for spring break.

By the way, I was able to sneak a shot of the whole family!

You look so relaxed and happy. Motherhood agrees with you darling.
I'm off to the beach for a few days and will be walking, collecting, reading and soaking in some much needed sun! Have a wonderful weekend.
