Held accountable

Hello, hello! I'm back! This morning's agenda involves a breakfast with berries and yogurt, some anatomy diagrams, class, and then off to the craft store. I'm on the hunt for a crochet hook, some yummy yarn and a how-to book. Maybe if I write it here I'll be held accountable--I'm determined to learn how to crochet a beanie (baby hat) before this little one comes along. If anyone has any good ideas about where to start, please, pass along the advice, I'm all ears!

I'm a knitter, but I can tell you the best place to learn is at the knit store! They do crochet there too... Do you have a local knit/crochet store that has spots for people to sit so the workers can offer help?

Best of luck! I'm sure it'll be fantastic!

I'm going to learn to crochet too. I am going to try to learn a new thing each month. This month will be crochet. Next month will be quilting!

if you have a friend that knows how, seeing it in person is always the best way. i had a friend teach me to knit, but i was kind of lost w/out her so i gave up:(

I come from a family where all the women do crochet. I love looking at them but the closest i came to doing it was a scarf for Niko. It's so soothing and the perfect craft while pregnant.

Anatomy diagrams...that sounds great. You gonna post those?

And I think a very creative day should necessarily follow such a lovely start as the little teacup.

Blessed baby indeed.

You will love it once you get the hang of it! It's so soothing. And you can still be productive while watching a movie!

find books by Candi Jensen . candy tots is a good book for crocheting items for children.

also the crochet stitch bible by Betty Barnden is awesome for learning stitches. It is good to have along with patterns, it explains the stitches better with written instructions as well as a visual diagram.

have fun.
