Speaks "summer"

I have to admit, it feels strange to be posting late at night instead of early in the morning, but I really wanted to share these images with you! They speak of peach sunsets, sparkling Bellini's and the sound of Walloon Lake at dusk, when the world quiets and time slows. Tell me, what's one thing that speaks "summer" to you?

A sky blue like crayon. I have only ever seen it so far here in Northern California. But it's not too late.

That peachy one is definitely telling me to have a Bellini.

Your photos are definitely soft and dreamy. When I'm on the lake I think of diamonds in the sun or some fun and cool summer drink. xoxo

Lightning bugs speak summer to me loud and clear.

Too bad they're not as abundant on the west coast. :(

That first one is really pretty! The colors are gorgeous I think the one thing that speaks summer to me is well the humidity. I am trying to think and since it always feels like summer here there isn't really anything that changes. I am definitely missing the seasons of the northwest. Hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying the sunshine!

BEAUTIFUL! For some reason any picture taken at dusk reminds me of those summery, hot, balmy days.

Globes of tomatoes hanging on the vine, bees in my lavender, and laundry drying in the sun.

Well since it has been so hot here (107 yesterday!) that is speaking summer to me :) But also everything that comes with that sort of heat...jumping through the sprinkler, blinds closed all day with the prettiest summer light trying to push through, sitting out at dusk and enjoying the heat.

Swiping someone else' image is lame! Take your own!

NOT stealing someone else's photos speaks summer to me. don't be lame. if you wanna blog someone else's work, have the decency to ask first

Julia, These pictures are MINE. I can appreciate that you liked them but you should have had the common courtesy to ASK me if it was OK for you to share MY work with your friends. I am NOT happy that you didn't, and that it appears that you are trying to pass this work off as your own.

Please link these back to my flickr account with propper acknowledgement.

I am a friend of Wendy, the photographer who took these images. As a photographer, I must say that it is extremely uncool for you to have stolen these photos for your own personal use without asking permission or giving her appropriate credit....that just sucks and you should be ashamed of yourself!!!

another of Wendy's fans......shame for not asking first.

Thanks for including the link to Wendy's flickr page, but it would be even nicer to acknowledge her in name specifically. As in, "Photos by Wendy Darling".

It's most concerning that you accepted all of this comment praise as if the photos where your own! Flickr is great for inspiring photos, just please remember to give credit where it's due and follow the licensing. =)

Great blog posts by the way - the photos are inspiring and really do make the blog interesting!
