The weekend passed in a blur! I can hardly believe it's Monday. La Crosse was a complete delight, not only was I able to spend some quality time with Andrew, but we were able to explore and discover heaps in La Crosse while doing so. Did you know that they have a coffee shop called "Jules Coffee?" Yeah, very cool! We were able to check out a few other local establishments like Buzzard Billy's (where my eyes watered after eating some of Andrew's spicey crawfish soup), Huck Finn's and the Borega Pub (they have a chocolate beer I've got to try sometime--11% alcohol). All were great places to sit, sip, and relish. I can't wait to go back!
On a side note, today is the first day of class--I get to begin the slippery task of grappling with the concepts of Algebra for the first time in half a decade. We'll see. I promise stories if it looks like Algebra is winning.

Good luck on your first day! It is such a dreary rainy here in Jackson today that seeing these beautiful and colorful images definitely helped. Also, that is quite cool about the coffee shop!

So glad you enjoyed LaCrosse..it really is charming river town. We have sampled a brew or two from that endless list at the pub and happy to hear Jules Coffee was just as cute as their sign.

i've been through la crosse, but never to it. sounds like a nice place to visit. i know the river there is lovely. glad you had what sounds like a very nice visit.

Good luck with the numbers and letters! Funnily enough, algebra was my favourite section of math, because it had letters. Numbers and I, not so much friends.
As an English major, Algebra is not my friend. I'll take grammar over math any day. Sounds like you had a good weekend though!
