Flown by

This week has flown by, we're almost to Friday! My second week of classes is almost done and I feel a bit giddy/terrified about all the homework that I need to fit into this weekends activities. Regardless of the reading to do I'm determined to make it to the Farmers Market, meet up with friends for a cold beer at the Terrace and generally enjoy the delights of having a roommate for the weekend!

This picture makes me think of Giada (from the Food Network) and Anne from Anne of Avonlee, making her way to the dunes to finish writing her first novel. What does it make you think of?

The picture looks just like Anne!! I am huge Anne of Green Gables fan, and essentially anything by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I used to go to Prince Edward Island with my family to stay in the town, Cavendish, on which Avonlea is based. This picture also reminds me of riding my bike through the country roads around my hometown in Maine, that feeling of freedom in a wonderfully natural setting!

I still can't believe it's nearing the end of June!

That pic reminds me of how much I want to spend some time in the countryside, maybe in France or Italy... Sigh.

That beautiful picture evokes memories of riding a bicycle with a basket in the front to the farmers markets in France. We could find the best veggies and breads. Always fun to pedal back home. Hope you get your wish of a fun weekend without too much studying!

That's a beautiful picture.

Yes, exactly! It reminds me of that scene from Anne of Avonlea where she's riding to the dunes to write and she meets Morgan Harris.

I love the photo, and now can't think of any story but Anne of Avonlea to go with it!
