Thank you

Thank you for all your kind words yesterday. I was feeling rather blue about the solo summer ahead of me, but I can't help but be encouraged. There's a lot of understanding and compassion in this community, and I can't tell you how good it is to know you're there. It's true, sometimes it's nice to miss someone!

These images remind me of summer. I'm in love with the pink chair! A little summer list I'm developing:

1. Grow herbs in an indoor window box
2. Take a yoga class
3. Explore new parts of Madison
4. Plan special weekends away with Andrew
5. Join a book club or start one - do people do these any more?

me too me too - all of it!

i was looking at a pre-packaged herb garden with mediterranean herbs, which i think would be sooo handy for cooking and barbecuing.

cant wait.

Gorgeous photos dear Julia. I really wish there was a great book club I could join... Once again, another reason I wish you lived closer.

Just beginning a new book club with a group - we spoke about what we each wanted and voted to "go out" - rather than have it at home. I was in one which I really loved, but at that time - my life got really hectic and I had to drop one thing and that was it.
I am excited to get with these readers and talk about the book and socialize.
lovely images.

Love that pink chair! Book clubs are great with the right people. The last one I was in hardly any one would read the book!

I love all those light filled images.

Your list is great! You'll be surprised at how productive you can be without the sweet distraction of your SO. At least, I always am.

I love that shade of pink. Its the same color as my office I think.

I was thinking of starting a book club too! I was just sending out e-mails to friends to see what day worked best for them. I think you should start one too!

Love your list. I think if you spend the time focusing on something you have really wanted to do or even learn more about, but just haven't had the time, you'll find that the summer flies by....and you may even enjoy parts of it.

I'm trying to start a book club, too, but I am having a difficult time!

I think a book club would be great. If you start one, let me know. I'd be interested.

And, being an editor of photos and words by day, I noticed a little typo on your profile you might like to fix: "...with the marketing demands of a an engineering firm." Drop-kick that "a" and you're good to go!
