Self Portrait Tuesday

Good morning! Just another day and a half till Thanksgiving vacation--I'm counting down the hours, I can't wait. Andrew and I are traveling over to Minnesota to be with my family during the holiday. Pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes... there are so many things to be excited about!

I want to take a quick moment to introduce our Self Portrait today! Amy from The Peach Tree is one of my oldest Etsy friends and continues to inspire me with her posts on her blog and her beautiful creations in her shop. She is lovely, a true beautiful soul and infectiously adorable spirit!

The only thing I'd say about the picture as a description is what people don't see of the sequence of events following the photo. About 10 sec after the point and shoot, that entire mug off tea emptied over my desk and keyboard..... that's definitely a part of me too....

i love this self-portait - those booties are adorable! i laughed when i read amy's description imagining the scene. hope the computer is ok.

i'm envious of your trip to minnesota as there are so many good things in that state: target, blu dot, motion city soundtrack, and martha mcquade. have a wonderful time with your family, jewels!

Good afternoon, thanks for visiting my blog. I'm actually good friends with Vana. I heard that you gals met up for coffee a few weeks ago.

I'm a fan of Amy's work, too! I own a pieces from The Peach Tree. And I've purchased some earrings from her shop to give as gifts as well.

Have a great trip to Minnesota. I see you live in Madison, Wisconsin. I LOVE that town! My husband and I have been there about three times now.

Great slippers...

This is great! I love those slippers. And the fact that the tea spilled. That's really what life is like.

Mmmm...turkey, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce...some Thanksgiving may be my favourite meal of the year. I just wish I knew someone south of the border so I could have 2 Thanksgivings a year. I suppose I'll just have to wait till Christmas to get my second dose of turkey.

I love the storey that goes along with your self portrait! Happy Thanksgiving.
