Friday Favorites

I had the hardest time waking up this morning. I sat on my couch, drinking my chai, with a glazed over zombie look! I wish I could say that I eventually moved into a more coherent state, but I'm still walking around, bumping into things, kind of drooling. A weekend of recouping and rejuvinating will be greatly appreciated!

This weekend Andrew and I are putting up our Christmas tree! Yes, we're kind of jumping the gun, but the week after Thanksgiving, when we would normally put up the tree, is jam packed. We'll turn on the Christmas music, stir up some hot cidar, and pull out the ornaments and berry garlands. We have a "law school" Christmas tree. It's about four feet tall, papery plastic, with branches you pull apart and "fluff." Yeah, it's a fake. But it's cute, and it'll due till we can get the real thing. What do you have planned for the weekend? Anything fun?

1. Bone votives by sarapaloma
2. Reversible hobo bag from retrofied
3. Black wrap skirt by larimeloom
4. Red corral branch from drinkabutter

Happy decorating.
Every year I listen to Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas and Bing Crosby's White Christmas. The holidays just wouldn't be the same without them.
Enjoy!

Hooray for tree trimming! I am envious of you in that your husband is not a grinch about putting up a tree and decorating. Have fun!

Leroy and I are having a game night with the Axtman clan on Saturday. I am praying my cold goes away before then. Hooray for benadryl, zicam, and cold and sinus bath salts!

Have fun decorating! We're putting up our tree right after Thanksgiving -- I'd do it sooner, but we need to still get the tree from our storage unit, aka, my parents' attic :)

Love chai and love the first night the tree is up. It really does feel magical. As for this weekend, the husband and I are driving 6 hours to see a puppy at a rescue we have our eyes on for the kids for Christmas....shhhhh...

Hope you get some much needed rest this weekend!
We have to do a "fake" tree also since one dog eats the real thing and the other dog pees on it thinking it's the great outdoors indoors!!
Love you list, the dress is gorgeous!

nothing wrong with a fake tree! ...i prefer to call it 'faux' cause it just sounds classier ;)

enjoy putting it up, nonetheless!
