A beautiful thing

There are little details in each of these images that I love. The bright pink and green pillows, the giant chalk board and the mossy green ottoman and chair. Little details that draw me in and make me go "ooh" and "ahh!"

The holiday weekend was a lot of fun! I unfortunately didn't get a chance to snap photos of us in our outfits--our camera gets grumpy taking images in anything but full daylight. Saturday found Andrew and I with our friends drinking spiked cider and eating Dutch Apple Pie. After the goodies were gobbled went down town Madison for Freakfest. Just the name weirded me out, not to mention that this night in previous years has been known to bring out the wild and crazy in the university students (think mob behavior and pepper spray). But the night, this year, was a hoot! There were so many fun, creative costumes walking the streets, along with smashing bands and a really friend horse patrol unit--I was nibbled on by one of the horses who thought my hair tasted yummy. Of course recovering from all the excitement over the weekend we were thrilled for the extra hour this morning! Daylights saving time is a beautiful thing.

Oh, and on a side note: guess who just bought her Nutcracker tickets!

You halloween sounds like a blast. Bummer no photos as proof... I can't believe how on the ball you are with your nutcracker tix :) That's the spirit!

i love those rooms! although we'd love to see you two, sometimes it's more fun not to have to take photos. i feel kind of 'removed' from the experience when i'm looking for a nice photo. the freakfest sounds great.

I love that chalkboard wall! I'm looking for a way to get a chalkboard into my apartment, but we definitely don't have a wall to spare.

NUTCRACKER TICKETS!!!! Oh my gosh. Jameson and I have gone for the past 4 years in a row. It is one of our favorite dates ever! This year we're going to try to see what the Portland Ballet has to offer! Seattle's stage was done by Maurice Sendak, and it's just incredible.

LOVE the green details Julia! I don't know why, but that color is so yummy for me!!

I'm glad you had a great time! These photos are all so gorgeous, I think the top two are my favorite! :)

Have you decided which boots you're getting? You can't go wrong with Frye. I have two pairs with my favorite being 7 years old. They lived through a flood and still look as great as ever!

How funny Julia! I've saved that photo with the giant chalkboard some time ago. I loved it and just thought that some day it would bring inspiration. ;)
