Vogue India

With a heavy dousing of rain, summer has officially ended and autumn is upon us. *poof* And with that said let me give you a quick tour of Vogue India's fall fashion for 2008. I didn't even realize that Vogue had an India issue. I'm fascinated! I love all the rich earthy colors and delicate designs. These fabrics just float around their figures.

So, I was going to write something about the fact that I'm a true northern girl because I love cold weather, I like rain, I love the layers, mittens and hot cocoa. I was going to say that I loved being able to add layers instead stripping down to the bare necessities. But, then I realized that that's not completely true (Andrew would laugh right about now). I do love autumn and all of it's pleasures, but I'll miss summer and it's "stripping down!" What will you miss about summer?

First of all, I love the colors and fabrics in these shots. Just mouthwatering. Second, I'm a total summer girl--which seems like an oxymoron living in Seattle but it really is the truth. Perhaps because our summers are so mild? I know I miss the 15 hours of daylight most.

I will miss nothing about summer except for maybe grilling with friends. Bring on the cool weather, long hikes through crunching leaves, the melding of warm scents of cinnamon and apples baking in the oven! Hooray for fall!

we get vogue india at work and it's pretty glam. love your photos. there's a big controversy about one of their photo shoots, which involved using actual poor people.

i'll miss the carefree summer attitude that comes from being off from school for three months even though i haven't been in school for years ;).

the sun! I don't mind if it is cold as long as it is sunny. Love these photos as well, what amazing fabrics and colours.

I love the clothing of summer...skirts, flip flops, t-shirts...it's so easy! Seems like everything is a bit more casual and laid-back during the summertime.

The fabrics are beautiful!
I will miss seeing new little flowers growing in my garden, but I look forward to soups, stews, fuzzy blankets, hot water bottles, mulled wine and hats! Autumn/ winter are my seasons :)

ooo, i love the tunic-style outfits!

i agree with everyone else - i love fall colours and clothing, but i'll most definitely miss the sun, and the beach, and the tan, and the barbecue.

barbecuing just isn't the same in the cold.

vogue india, japan and UK are my favourite vogues. they are quite different than the US ones...aside from price of course. they're quite daring and artsy in their photos.

oh, and indian fabrics are beautiful. i've been teaching myself how to do the traditional woodblock printing...eep. it's harder than i thought!

I love this fashion from India...How cool!

Well, first...I am so jealous of you right now because Autumn is far from coming to South Carolina anytime soon! :( I am from upstate New York originally so I am completely missing the four seasons right about NOW!!! Haha. I actually yearn for Fall---maybe someday we'll move back up North because I think I'm a true northern girl myself! Maybe you can post some of your "autumn" pictures for me to drool over and I'll keep you posted with our beach days in October! :(
