Lounging

It was probably one of the more restful weekends to date. Andrew and I did close to nothing this weekend. And it was pure bliss. Okay, maybe not "nothing." We still went for walks, went on a date night, complete with dinner and a movie (by the way, Burn After Reading was a hoot--you can't beat Brad Pitt's highlights), grocery shopped and vacuumed, but somewhere in there we got in heaps of reading, a nap, a proper lie in on Sunday, at least half a dozen cups of tea and some definite lounging. Lounging is a great word. It helps you picture the comfy clothes and slippers, doesn't it? It even helps you picture the lethargic movements of two sleepy bodies shuffling from bed to couch, from couch to kettle, from kettle back to couch! What did you guys do this weekend?

We have two days left before we fly out to New England. I get so excited just thinking about it. I promise to take pictures!

Ah, lounging is a wonderful word, a noun which connotes simply resting in a cozy environ such as your photos in your post. Love that spot, very soothing.
Weekends are for lounging, walks, naps, and tea.

Those are beautiful pictures---so peaceful!

Seth and I saw Burn After Reading this weekend, too. It was hilarious! George Clooney cracks me up in these sorts of roles.

I need to do some lounging! Your weekend sounds great. Ours was a bit too busy, lots of chores and gardening, but we got a lot done. Didn't get a lie in though, a certain little someone came in at 7am both days!

Those are my favorite find of weekends! Pure bliss indeed!

I hope you get to experience some of New England's Fall Foliage and share some of it with us southern folk when you get back. :(

Jono & I went kayaking...such fun! Had a date night at our favorite indian restaurant, grocery shopping, movie, and also "lounged around." It was good. :)

The BF and I also saw Burn After Reading Saturday night (followed by an amazing dinner). Hilarious! The Coen brothers are twisted and sick in the best way!

Lovely photos, I so wish I had done a slate floor like that in my entry.
