Gucci and the fidget

I've been fascinated with Gucci's Fall/Winter ad campaign since I opened up the August Vogue back in July. I think that's where I saw it first. They give you a whole different feel for "flower child." I like it! I love the soft, warm colors. The leather and the velvet. It's luxurious!

Andrew had a very lovely birthday--thank to all of you who sent him birthday greetings, he read them all with relish :) You guys are great!

I'm not sure if this happens to you, but after a trip like I had last week, I can't help but feel an anxious fidget in my seat. I get this fidget to move, to change scenery, to shuffle things up to see what surfaces. I blame it on the amount of moving I did growing up. In the past, when I felt this (and couldn't move) I would go cut my hair or move the furniture around. It helped. For a little while. I'm feeling it today, like a knawing question "what's next!" So much is tied up with where Andrew finds a job after school, two years down the road. And that not knowing is where the fidget lies. I'll probably head home and reorganize my closet :)

first of all, i love your new photo from the trip. the campaign is fun - i'll take that blue skirt any day.

i know what you mean about the 'fidget'. after a trip to a nice hotel where it's clean a sparkly everday, i would go home and do the same. lately, i've been doing it before leaving and it makes it just a bit nicer to get home, which is something i usually can't wait to do regardless of where i travel.

I'm a what's next person all the time! But yes, it does get worse after a great trip. Loving these ads too - the coloring is neat.

Fidgety feelings are the worst -- Seth was looking for a job down here this past year and everything was so up in the air (where to live? when would he be here? what's next???)...now that things have settled, the fidgets have died down...but I know that's only temporary.

I have a trip coming up next week...we'll see how I feel afterward! :)

The photos/clothes look like Autumn to me! And yes...I fidget {but it doesn't just take a trip to evoke the feeling for me. closet organization is a good relief!}

I love that look, a sort of darker gothier hippy which is where I'm at most of the time anyway.
I loke your blog, found you via a handful of stones
