These images make me think of Grace Kelly and Cary Grant. Annie Leibovitz created romance with each scene, capitalizing on the seductive quality of New York and high fashion. I realize that not everyone is a Sex and the City fan (Ms Peach and Court, I know you're exceptions). Not everyone watched endless reruns with a 6 pack of Diet Cherry Coke and a bag of Oreos with their sisters in college. So, I simply avail to your sense style and beauty!
Speaking of Cary Grant, I have to mention that some of my all time favorite movies involve this classically handsome man! The Philadelphia Story, Charade, and North by Northwest. If you've never seen these movies let me highly recommend you put them on your Netflix que!

I love cary grant and grace kelly as well, but have totally missed the whole original sex in the city thing (no hbo access, too busy rearing children at the time, the list goes on) Lovely small things photos – will check them out. I was sorry to hear about your reoccurring migraines. I know that can be very frustrating. I hope you are feeling better and that you can find some long term relief!
SATC is something that completely did not interest me until it was too late! I must rent all of the seasons and watch :)

I can definitely see the Cary Grant comparison here...he is my all-time favorite actors *swoon* ...those are great movies! Don't forget Notorious...Suspicion...An Affair to Remember...I could go on and on! :)

Wow! I haven't seen these images yet. Is this a Vanity Fair spread I've missed? They're amazing, but Annie Leibovitz could take a picture of a rock and it would be incredible!
I don't remember in which publication it was, but many, many years ago (20+) I read an interview with Cary Grant in which he either talked about, or actually did, walk on the beach with the reporter and as they later sat in the sand, he rolled pebbles down her back. I will never forget that!
The second picture in the gallery is my favorite of those four. I watched SATC pretty faithfully and enjoyed the movie, although by that point it seemed so old and irrelevant. In fact, much of the movie has already been forgotten. It was kind of a "meh" experience for me. But the show is a classic and I own the first three seasons. Maybe I'll splurge one day and buy the rest. Dunno. I really have to be in the mood now to want to see it. You know? I still think she was stupid for letting Aiden get away.
And the chemistry they had on-screen was palpable, too. The part in the movie where she gets home and walks outside to see him on the deck with all the candles? OMG.
