A new favorite
Through a series of blog-jumps, thanks to tinyk, I discovered the mesmerizing work of ngoc minh ngo . I'm sure I've seen his work once before, but as I sit here this morning, I'm once again in awe. There's simple beauty here and fabulous color! I picked 10 of my favorites (click on the images for a larger size).
I'm so glad you liked the silent post this weekend! I knew that there was a lot I could say, but the pictures seemed to speak for themselves. I've been inspired by Mrs. French's silent posts. Her photography seems to capture these magical moments... they move beyond words.
I'm slowly writing down a small lists of things I want to do or finish before the end of summer, which *as I whisper* is quickly approaching! Repot my plants, make jam, visit Duluth, write my girlfriend that massive epistle I've been telling her I would write! What's on your list?

You have a pretty good list going there. I myself want to make a trip up to the mountains. I miss hiking sooooo much. We havn't been able to since gas has been so high.
I would also like to finish reading my James Patterson books.
very lovely photos :) Love the first one...
summer never seems like summer once I was out of school. it's just another season to me. I think I've only been in my swimsuit once this year!!!
You picture choices are wonderful -- these are mesmerizing!
On the top of my summer to-do list is "go camping"...haven't been in so long and NEED to get out in the woods soon!
I love her photos - so magical! Your list sounds great too. My list is to just keep enjoying the summer weather - minus some of the heat.
Great pics for your selections. These really are beautiful!
I guess I should get on the bandwagon and make a list, too. I'm good at composing mental ones, but getting them on to paper is another story!
hi, I loved your silent post too, great pictures of you both and your apartment. And such pretty flowers.
: )
I'm SO stealing this post :)
*runs circle then bolts from room with fantastic photo post*
The cupcake in the teacup really caught my eye. What a great combination! Lovely photos.
Julia! You have a great nack for finding beautiful things! :) These photos are great!
I have a lot to do before summer ends, alas... but go to Target and get new school supplies is a must! ;P
i found your blog via the peach tree and i love it. the roses in this group are so lush and gorgeous!
1. Get down to my local Saturday farmers' market and buy some fresh peaches, strawberries, and heirloom tomatoes before the season is over.
2. Go for a long, leisurely walk through Mountview Cemetery. It's gorgeous. People picnic here, jog, hang out. Great place.

3. Make more art!!
I like the sound of your list - especially the jam making. That is something I have never done and really need to. Our list here is just a bunch of home improvement items like pait touch ups and window washing.
you've chosen such gorgeous pictures, julia! i love that blue house, the reading nook, and that little girl - so beautiful!
i'd love to learn to make jam. there's something that seems like it'd be so incredibly therapeutic to it. or maybe i've romanticized it too much. you never hear anyone say they'd love to spend an afternoon pickling beets. (or do you?)
Hey, Red! Always fun checking out your blog. Lots of pretty things to look at!
So consider yourself awarded!
thanks for making me feel special...I love the photos here, I marked ngoc minh ngo as a new "favorite." Thanks for leading me to him.
One of my last posts before I go to bed...such a lovely way to end my day!
absolutely gorgeous photos.
hmm...my summer list is all about the closet + drawer clean out. boring, yes?
Hey there!
To answer your question about Miss Potter the movie, it is great!! I little sad, but enchanting, and very inspirational!! I actually have it rented as I write this!! haha! Check it out!
Lovely pictures - so tranquil and soulful. No to do lists for me for a while - they make me panic if they get too long. Thanks for recent visits! Cheers.
I ADORE these photos! They are stunning.
I'm having such a good time exploring your blog, btw!
Beautiful photos, especially the vintage rose. It's gorgeous!!!
