So, thanks to the lovely comments from yesterday's post I'm determined to pick up any of Judy Bloom's books at the library tonight. I'm trying to figure out where I was that I didn't get the Bloom memo as a kid :)
Also, as quick request, does anyone know where to look for illustrations or images of mermaids?

They do have neat stuff - just wish it wasn't so expensive! Have you tried searching Flickr?
I love JCrew. Always a timeless classic.
Flickr, iStock, stockchange, google images??
great choices, I'll have the purple shoes please!
: )
I love Jcrew's bright splashes of color!! Have you ever looked at veer.com? It's a really fun place to look for images. Gettyimages.com, and definitely flickr! :) Best of luck! I can't wait to see where your mermaid thoughts lead!!
Hmm, mermaids? I'd commission one from Betsy Walton--- she'd make a lovely mermaid. :)
have you tried gettyimages?
If I could afford it I'd be shopping there all of the time. Even the Goodwill charges a lot for their clothes!
OH that JCrew...timeless and perfect.
Lovely blog... i love it.
Congratulations
Thanks for your insight on the Rules of Blogging. I don't like overly posting blogs either - I get anxious and confused! Haha. If blogs are in it for their own personal horn blowing...you tend to tell and I'm not really into that either.
iStockPhoto.com is MUCH le$$ than GettyImages for your mermaid search. There are also some mermaids at Etsy.
