Special Delivery

Something special has arrived! And it's been taking a lot of energy, a lot of stamina, and seems to like apple sauce and chocolate milk. A lot. I've been racking my brain as to how to announce this to you all--but, put it simply: we are due July 1!

So much to be thankful for!

Friday Favorites

one: Greatest Hits Sampler by lemonadestandnyc
two: Collage de Ramas from MISMA
three: Vintage black bow heels from nocarnations
four: Steel Gray and Black plum wool scarf by artlab

Now, if only I had a posh holiday party to attend!

Andrew and I had company last night! I made home made clam chowder with steamed asparagus and then little puff pastry purses filled with dark chocolate for dessert. Our delightful guest brought fresh baked bread--she made herself! It was scrumptious, all of it. I love having company over every once in a while. It's the only time during the week we can see our living room floor and kitchen counter!

Wishing you all a delicious weekend filled with relaxation~

Come celebrate with me

I'm doing my little happy dance! My major A&P exams are over for the time being and my CNA certification test has been accomplished. I am now an official certified nurses assistant! Come celebrate with me!

Thank you for all the well wishes. They helped!

Quiet Hum

I have a few hefty exams this week and Tuesday and I feel jittery at the thought of finishing them all. Successfully, that is. So, please don't mind the quiet hum over here, I will be back soon--probably doing a little happy dance over the fact that I'm done for a spell . If you want to send studious, productive thoughts my way, I would be greatly appreciative!

XOXO,
Jewels

Duluth

We were up in Duluth all weekend long--made it a three day weekend and skipped out of town on Friday. It was wonderful being by the lake again--its brooding energy is hard to resist. I'm a water person, it draws me in, calms me and rejuvenates me. I was able to enjoy the giggles and burbles on my little niece as well, so it was a very good weekend!

Just a few things to note: there has been a lot of talent flooding the blog sphere lately. Let me draw your attention to Courtney and her amazing html talents, Cindy's crafting wonders and Rachel's delicious baking, no knead style!
